As queen Onyanta Adama prepares to hand over her crown to the next Miss University Nigeria in less than three weeks, the Benue State Government through the office of the state’s First Lady, Her Excellency, Arc. Dooshima Yemisi Suswam is hosting the fourth edition of Miss University Nigeria. The event which is organized by Visions Innovations & Concepts Ltd, under the auspices of the
United Nations Pageant System (UNPS) USA, will bring together 70 Nigerian University Queens (one from each University) with 50 finalists. Benue State was given the automatic hosting rights because the reigning queen, Onyanta Adama hails from Benue state. The event which is a non- bikini pageant, will have three weeks camping and screening session from October 23rd to November 12th, 2010. The grand finale will take place on the 13th of November 2010 at the IBB square in Makurdi, the headquarters of Benue state. Expected to grace the occasion is the Executive Governor of Benue state, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Suswam, the state's First Lady, Her Excellency, Arc. Dooshima Yemisi Suswam, other state first ladies, Federal & state government officials, International guests from the UNPS, South Africa, Asia, Turkey and Europe, members of the International and National media, students/youths from across Nigeria etc. The winner of Miss University Nigeria represents Nigeria at the Miss University Africa International Pageant, South Africa and the Miss United Nations Pageant USA. The boot camp is expected to be an experience of a life time for the contestants as various exciting segments have been put in place for them. ADMISSION IS FREE
